We are blessed with a number of places locally where you can see good local art & crafts on display.
Right here in the village, Linda at The Dower House, makes a fine range of items fashioned from tweed.
Nigel at the Harris Tweed Shop also stocks a fine range of interesting items in Scotland’s very own fabric.
Not far down the road south west, you can browse the super photography of Stuart Lilley, one of the owners of the Laggan Coffee Bothy, Stores & Gallery, which also happens to serve great coffee and good grub too.
Heading north, nearby Kingussie is simply “Gallery-tastic”!! There are The Iona Gallery and The McIntosh Gallery, plus, newly opened, the Eleven41 Gallery and the Chapel House Arts Studio. A veritable cornucopia of local talent on display for you to enjoy.
If the idea of throwing a pot takes your fancy, you can try your hand at Penny Weir’s Loch-an-Eilein Pottery near Aviemore.
