Newtonmore is a delightful, friendly, traditional village and an ideal location from which you can explore the many attractions in the area and in the Cairngorms National Park. Details of all the activities and attractions are here for you – browse away to your heart’s content.

The village itself holds a lot of things to see and do – you can, for example, spend an afternoon, indeed, a whole day, at our excellent Highland Folk Museum, visit the Clan MacPherson museum, savour the peace, quiet & tremendous views as you walk the 10 kms of the Wildcat Trail or simply stroll round the village, enjoying the exciting Wildcat Experience seeing just how many of our resident wildcats you can spot!

Newtonmore also has a good choice of places to get a bite to eat, a drink or two or a cup of coffee or tea. You’ll not need to go anywhere else but, if you feel the need, just up the road is the village of Kingussie, capital of Ancient Badenoch and, a little further north, the town of Aviemore with its even wider choice of shops and restaurants.
